Lahore: Lahore has once again been attacked by terrorists. There have been three coordinated attacks by terrorists on Thursday morning in the city.
Officials say firing has been reported from near Manawan Police Training School, Federal Investigation Agency Building and Elite Force Headquarters at Bedian Road in Lahore.
Police have blocked Temple Road in Lahore and say that five attackers barged in the FIA building opening fire indiscriminately.
Police officials say two people have been killed in the attcak at FIA, one at Manawan while six more dead bodies have been brought to Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore.
Two gunmen are also reportedly holding two hostages inside the FIA building.
One of the FIA attackers has been arrested, police sources said.
Police battling the terrorists have recovered four dead bodies from FIA building. It is still not clear if the bodies belong to the terrorists or those present inside the building. One policeman has also been killed.
"Reportedly, four men attacked the FIA building and initial reports are that two of them have been killed," Punjab province Home (interior) Secretary Nadeem Hassan Asif was quoted as saying by Reuters, referring to the Federal Investigation Agency.
A Reuters report also claimed that a suicide car bomber set off his explosives outside a police station in the northwestern Pakistani town of Kohat on Thursday killing 10 people, police and military officials said. "Some school children are among the dead," a policeman at the scene said.
